One of Anne Perry's Thomas and Charlotte Pitt mysteries in Victorian London. Pitt is called to the Palace to solve a murder of a prostitute entertained the night before by 4 Gentleman and the Prince of Whales. The story is the solving of the mystery despite the class limitations of that time and the fact that no one could approach the Prince or any royalty without their permission. Intricate, entertaining plot and characters! Really enjoyed.
