Story of the infamous serial killer who stalked the hills around Florence from the late 60's to the mid 80s. Never caught. Half the book takes up the story of the inept investigation of the case by the Italian authorities and the role of the two authors in the case.

Avoids sensationalizing the murders themselves although they are explained in some detail. I thought the story of the investigtion may have been less interesting than the case itself but this wasn't so - it was fascinating.
