Re-read 2010, before reading Year of the Flood:

I'm not sure if I'm impressed or worried that some of the things she wrote (it was published in May 2003, and would've been (mostly) written in the early 00s, I suppose?) are things we definitely have now. I know it was all very thoroughly researched and possible, but not necessarily in use. Some things didn't go quite the way Atwood thought though, no fear of public gatherings have thrown the Arts to the wind just yet.

From my first read I seemed to remember this being a longer book, but this time around it didn't take me more than a couple of days to read it from cover to cover. The narrative is about 50/50 present and Snowman's memories, and I remembered it as being more memory. I still really enjoy the book though, and see no reason to dock any stars.
