really liked it

Again, this is a light young adult book that I chose to read to take my mind off weightier matters before I go to sleep. I liked it. It moves fast and is entertaining. This book, the 2nd in the series, revealed a little more about each of the characters. I like the idea of the young protagonist being a mediator - someone who sees and helps dead people. While the concept is not new (think of The Sixth Sense) , I enjoy reading about how it affects her life and how she deals with it. I also enjoy her quirky nature that is both juvenile and mature beyond her years at the same time. It has a ring of truth to me. Children who experience extraordinary things often grow up quickly but retain much of their youthfulness.
