This is by far the best web comic I've read. And in book form with the authors running commentary on the bottom it's just that much better. That plus the touched up art work and bonus comics at the end make this edition (available only from the website http://www.cad-comic.com/) far superior to the rather shitty one you can get at book stores/through Amazon.

Would this be drop dead funny to someone that's not a gamer? Probably not. Although, unlike the similar web comic Penny Arcade you need not have played EVERY single game released in the last two decades and know EVERY in and out of the video game industry to get the majority of jokes. In fact where as that comic is more of a "video game" comic this one falls under the bigger cultural umbrella of just plain "gamer." Although not in this volume, the characters are later seen playing trading card games and various table top games such as Warhammer and Warmachine/hordes. And also unlike Penny Arcade I think just about anyone of my generation could pick this up and get most of the humor, even though they may not them selves be a gamer, something I feel I can't say for Penny Arcade.
