The Presidents Club: Inside the World's Most Exclusive Fraternity

Excellent book. From Hoover through Obama, the authors describe what seems to be love-hate relationships of these presidents and ex-presidents. I was not aware of how much presidents rely on past presidents for advice and aid nor how much some ex-presidents still continue to want to run the show. It was, for me, an eye-opener into the lives and personalities of these presidents, of the games that are played in politics, of the burdens of the presidency. Not that I was totally naive about these things, just that it brought it all more to light. I found that I ended up disliking some of the people that I had previously liked and ended up liking some of the people I had previously disliked. Maybe not quite in such positive terms, but my tilts changed. I highly recommend this book.
