I'm just going to quote one line here that I think spells out EVERYTHING wrong with this terrible, harmful book:

"We're lovers, Anastasia. Lovers don't need safe words."

Right. Because that's the sort of crap we need women to believe. Right. There's absolutely NOTHING wrong with that at all. Dude. And I thought Twilight was harmful. I would read my daughters Twilight in the cradle if it meant that none of them would ever for one second buy into the ridiculousness of that single sentence.

There is nothing wrong with having an adventurous sex life. Nothing at all. But there is EVERYTHING wrong with trying to convince someone that they don't need a safe word if they love you. That's how people end up seriously hurt. And not just emotionally. Anyone who truly loves you would want you to feel in control and completely safe. End of story.

For the record it's Safe, Sane, and Consensual for a reason.

Respect your partner and respect yourself.
