This was an amusing poignant book. She danced around the issue of being a neglected child, she never out and out says it but several clues lead us to this conclusion. It is funny and heart wrenching. She writes in a very witty style, every so often a sentence or paragraphs of brilliance leaps out at you. I am going to go back and read her first novel. This is kind of in the vein of the Glass Castle and Running With Scissors.
