** spoiler alert ** 5/29 - Won this book.

6/1 - Received this book in the mail.

6/11/12 - I really loved this book and was so glad I won it. It was an interesting mix of intrigue, noir, mystery, thriller, and a slight bit of romance thrown in. The ending was great, a twist that I hadn't quite put together so I was kinda expecting it, but it was still a bit of a surprise. The characters were well developed. It did move a bit slow, with details revealed few and far between at times, but by the end, the pieces were all wrapped up and explained well. There were a few mysterious things left hanging, but nothing major, just like who was that beige guy? lol The whole witness protection-mob-Texas rancher mix was unique and, again, well done. I really liked Tommie and sympathized with her every step of the way, wouldn't be easy to go through. I am already looking forward to this debut author's next book!

Content: F bomb, but only a couple times and only used by mobsters, not thrown in wiley niley for effect (not that makes it better, but I hate it when it really serves no purpose); also mild sexual references
