it was ok
bookshelves: fiction, girl-power, magic-supernatural, meh

Basically a choose-your-own-adventure book, but no matter what path you choose, the ending never changes. From other reviews I've read, I gather the story really doesn't change much, either. Too simply written for teens, but possibly a little too mature for readers under 12 or 13. The writing and story are not particularly engaging, as the book reads like books around the 4th grade level, and there's zero character development, so readers who like a little meat in their reading will probably find it boring and frustrating, but undemanding readers or girls who don't read often or don't like to read may find it enjoyable. I did not.
