Storywise, a typical fell-in-love-with-my-childhood-friend thing. With the addition of witty lists and charming characters however, the author created a charming story of a love-hate relationship which will make you wonder if the book title would be an accurate gauge in predicting the ending, or that the 12-step list will eventually be trashed and pave a way to a happy ending.

As for the author, she clearly has a know how of words - even a relationship with a thesaurus is possible for her. Witty lines, funny-but-true lists, and entertaining personalities (makes me want to have a 'Martin' friend too!). A light but worthy read.
