First of all I enjoyed winning this book I got it through Goodreads First Reads... thank you for getting me a copy, whoo hoo. I'm giving this a 3.5, if that were possible in the star area.

This book reminded me of the 'good ole' days' in high school and just how everyone defined themselves. I think high school can be a bit of a dark and twisty time for everyone, but for the people who don't feel like they fit in, or just say yes to fit in with the group, like Amy, high school can be hard! I think the author did a good job in getting into the angsty mood and mindset of a teenager who isn't sure where she is, how she got there and how she is going to get out. The voice of the book had the whirlwind topsy turvy voice of a confused teenager which kept you emotionally engaged with the book, and made you want to know what was going to end up happening with her. I felt sorry for Amy for the majority of the book, she was always so confused and just kind of drifted into this situation by being so passive about what was happening to her. Many times during this book I wanted to shake her, and her parents. Which I guess means the author did a good job of keeping me engaged in the book! Overall I liked it, it was a quick read, out of my normal genre, and made me reflect on life which is what a decent book does. I would recommend it.
