lovely
I thought this was a good story...tragic, but good. I loved the exposure to the Afghani culture. I felt a little disappointed somehow that the author used so much cliche, but I can't decide whether it was inexperience on the author's behalf, or his genious in writing the character of Amir so well that the voice of the book was in tune with an emotionally troubled, unconfident new writer. It made the main character difficult to like, and the irony and coincidences were so obvious that I was distracted by them. Nevertheless, an interesting read.
