really liked it
bookshelves: paranormal-romance, urban-fantasy

3.5* I found the story line with Eric interesting. I don't think Harris is a deep writer in terms of character development. It is entertaining and light hearted versus Kim Harrison's series. I don't have an invested interest as to whom she ends up with. Bill is a bit of an ass...way more stoic than in the True Blood HBO series. Eric is more emotionally intelligent. I think you see that element when he is stripped of his power of responsibility. These books are akin to meatier mass market modern romances except in a paranormal setting.
