The Seven Wonders (Roma Sub Rosa, #0.5)
by Steven Saylor
by Steven Saylor
As ever, with Steven Saylor's books, I was sad to reach the end of this adventure with Gordianus. Saylor has done some amazing research into the seven wonders of the ancient world and turned a sort of historical survey course into a fun novel. It was a treat to go back to when Gordianus was just setting off into the world as a young Roman. My only beef is that I wanted more. I wanted to see the development of Gordianus' relationship with Bethesda, who is also a wonderful character in the Sub Rosa series. Here's hoping that Steven Saylor has sequel to this one planned. Great, fun reading!
