Reminiscent of "Spies like us', The Industry's main protagonist, Kirra Hayward gets in trouble for her intelligence. A skilled mathematician and codebreaker, she breaks a code for a competition - a competition which proves to be a trap.
While I enjoyed the premise of the novel, I found some parts of the narrative a little bumpy. I felt, at the end, that there were too many balls in the air, that the author was not really sure how to round off this story while still leading us into the sequel.
This is a tense, sometimes violent story which teens may love. I love the cover and the premise, but i would have preferred a smoother narrative.
