"Police work is boring to describe" So, repeatedly, says the Paradise Chief of Police stonewalling a particularly unappealing headteacher/big-shot lawyer couple

Not boring to read! I particularly enjoyed this outing for Jesse Stone, even reading it out of order. I liked the way the themes of knowing deep down that it is time to move on but not being able to apply to so many characters in the book, and the way the two mysteries become interlinked. And I found the ping pong back and forth of so many of the conversations very satisfying.
