Read in October, 2008

There is some compelling evidence here, written with scientific studies in support of the conclusions, that living the vegetarian life is in many ways beneficial to living a long and healthy life. Some of the facts presented here definitely call into question the idea of eating meat, especially since there is some evidence that a vegetarian diet provides not just enough protein, but also can halt or regress tumor progression. An insightful book, but I skimmed much of it as the science didn't totally capture me -- and I'm a scientist!!
