it was amazing
bookshelves: short-stories, cyberpunk

Fresh out of the Neuromancer trilogy, I grabbed Burning Chrome and was blown away. I think Gibson's short stories are the most vibrant pieces of fiction I have read, burrowing from the real world and spinning tales for a future that is perfectly detailed and tantalizingly close. Each short story has a strength, and each strength is a jewel here. The last story, Burning Chrome, along with Fragments of the Hologram Rose are my favorite. Johnny Mnemonic is a great anchor story, but those two other stories had a lot more impact for me.
