I really wanted to like this book. The blurb intrigued me and I thought I was really going to enjoy it, as is usually the case with this kind of story. However, I was not able to finish, I couldn't make it past chapter 6.

I don't want to spoil it for anyone, and I won't, I just have to say that it's not necessary to demonstrate the heroine's knowledge of things in gore detail.

Perhaps, this was not the book for me; other readers have given it good ratings. You be the judge.
