This was a really interesting read. A young reader full of mystery and a bit of magic, this book moves along at a fast pace dragging you with it even if you don't really want to go.
Anna, a mysterious girl who dresses and hangs with the Goth crowd, is new to town. The narrator of the story, who remains nameless for the entire book, is intrigued by her and the two soon become a couple. Anna likes to think and talk in riddles, likes a good ghost story and spends much of her time filling notebooks with obituaries for every person in town. When she suddenly disappears in the wee hours of a very cold winter morning, the real mystery begins. Our narrator seems to still be receiving some messages from Anna, but what do they mean? Is she alive, dead? Was it an accident, murder, or did she simply run away?
