I'm actually tempted to give this one star without reading it for the slight chance that the author will read it and address me.

Due to this: Utter Bullshit

Derek (Guilty of thoughtcrime) She has a sort-of-point: "…it’s crucial for authors to realize that the way they handle negative reader reviews is every bit as important as writing a good novel in the first place." Now, if she could learn to handle a negative review constructively, she'd be halfway there. I wonder if she can write a good novel, for that matter, but don't feel inclined to find out...

Lyndi Well yeah, when you take that one line out of context from the whole article, she makes total sense.

I've noticed the reviews I've read for this novel have taken one of two paths. Path A: I loved the quirky character! This was a cute, funny read. Path B: No character development. No tension, drama, or real conflict. Vanishing plot threads.

It doesn't look good from here, but I probably would have eventually read it had she not stuck both her feet and half a leg in her mouth.

message 3: by Susan (new)

Susan Broehm I so disliked her piece on bullying readers (and everyone else) that I wouldn't read anything of hers if you gave it to me. Kind of sad, I think.
