I do enjoy the characters, the setting, and the premise of this series. But this might be the last one I can read about young Amish girls being sexually exploited or savagely treated. There HAS to be another storyline available, not to mention victim.

Also, I get bogged down in the descriptions sometimes. I get it. They're Plain.

David Ketelsen The prologue was a bad way to start a book. Besides, the brother was only 5 or 6 when he was starting to abuse his 3-year old sister. That struck me as unlikely.
