it was ok

This was originally penned by the author named "Richard Bachman". Later investigation found that it was just an alias used by Stephen King. i.e. Richard Bachman IS Stephen King. Now there's 2 possible reasons for this... either you can believe Stephen Kings public statement version - wherein he essentially said that he wanted to test his writing success by publishing under an unknown name because he felt that people were just buying his books because of his namesake.
Or you can believe the more technical version... back then Publishing houses would only every print 1 or 2 novels per author in a year. Stephen King use to write far more in just a couple of months... so in order to publish more literature - he decided to pen the name Richard Bachman.
There is a book I have that I'm quite curious to read, also by S.King - it's titled: "The Dark Half". It's about an author who is haunted by his pseudo/alias. Apparently it's a story close to home for Stephen King - since he had to 'kill' Richard Bachman before Richard Bachman 'killed' him.
Coming back to the book, "The Long Walk" is about a race... well, not so much a race but a walk - a test of strength. who can long the furthest and longest. I wasn't too impressed with this book. Would rate it less than Carrie. Carrie was still much better.
