This is a book I picked up at a local library sale. I had never read anything by this author, but I would definitely read more by her in the future. This was a different kind of book for me, but I enjoyed it. This book, "True Devotion" is book one in the "Uncommon Heroes" series. From what I can tell, these books are more standalone, with the same type theme, rather than a story that you follow through several books.

True Devotion is the story of Lt. Joe "Bear" Baker, a Navy Seal stationed in Coronado California. It's also the story of Kelly Jacobs, whose husband Nick was a Seal with Joe, but was killed in action. It's a bit of a love story between the two of them, so I might use this one for my chick-lit challenge I'm doing, not sure. Anyway, there's a bit of intrigue to the story, as well as the romance and relationship stuff. I really enjoyed the combination :)
