I am one of the few remaining people on earth who has not read Harry Potter.

Well, I was.

I tried reading the first book a few years ago and found it childish and boring and too magic-y. A few weeks ago, I decided to give it another try. I gave it 4 stars because I think it was very well done but if I was rating how much I liked it, I'd probably give it a 3. It got page-turny for me at the end (I saw the movie and I still forgot the ending!) but overall it felt very much like a kid's book to me. A lot of people have told me that the first few books are like that and then the books get more adult. I'm starting the second book now so we'll see.

Bailey The series definitely matures as it goes on.
