Mission to Paris (Night Soldiers, #12)
by Alan Furst
by Alan Furst
Another wonderful book by Alan Furst. Once again he has written an enormously interesting premis in 1938 Paris. He writes places so atmospherically than you can smell it. A short quote, for instance:
Altogether a delightful way to spend a couple days reading.
earlier note:
Alan Furst is the best spy novelist ever! I ordered this early and am looking forward to the pub date 06/12/12.
...he couldn't get enough of the Parisian air: it smelled of a thousand years of rain dripping on stone, smelled of rough black tobacco and garlic and drains, of perfume, of potatoes frying in fat...
Altogether a delightful way to spend a couple days reading.
