Okay, I had this on my Kindle. No idea why, honestly, but it was there. I was looking for something to read and the myriad of review books sitting there didn't call to me. So, I gave this a shot since it was so short.

HOLY CRAP! I really really liked this story. I was amused by Kayla from the beginning, tbqh. She was acting so completely like a teenager. I love when teen characters act their age. However, I felt the story needed a bit more background earlier in the story. There were some things that made me go 'huh?' because there was no background.

I love Hunter. I think he was a very well written character. I loved the angst and drama from Kayla's friends and at school. The story wasn't focused completely on Kayla and the paranormal world like a lot of stories are.

Well done. I'm now looking forward to reading the next book.
