What I am finding about Ruthie Knox is her characters are real. They are not what you would expect. Even when you know the synopsis, they still are not at all what you are thinking. I thought maybe Nev fell just a bit too hard just a bit too fast. After all, it wasnt love at first sight. But I admire a character that knows what he/she feels and sticks with it. No matter what. No fear. Mary Catherine is tough as nails. Determined. Smart. Clever. And uses all her strength to stay afraid of so much. Much of the dialogue is magnificent. Smart. Surprising. But then, there is dialogue that doesnt fit. Doesnt follow the character. It goes the way it does because the story needs to move that way.
But this was a great read. Clever distinct story, great writing style.
I will continue to read Ruthie. Cant wait to see where she goes next.
