Does a book choose you or do you choose the book? I found this book on the bargain shelves at a used book store-- any book with the words "lost garden" in the title is going to catch my eye, but the language in this novel is so poetic and beautiful-- so full of longing and loss. I will keep this book close by so I can re-read it again and again. I must look up her other works.
