Definitely Dead (Sookie Stackhouse, #6)
by Charlaine Harris
by Charlaine Harris
I found this book to be boring, I'll be honest in that I didn't really "read" it, I skimmed it. I learned all I really needed to know in the first 30 pages and the last thirty. I felt like I could skip the middle.
I'm also sick of authors who feel like they need to have the main character either in love with a bunch of people, or have a bunch of people in love with her. Anita Blake anyone? *sighs deeply* Has our society become so oversexed that one person isn't enough anymore? I'll be honest I think Eric is the best, so far, for Sookie. Sookie jumps to the conculsion toward the end of the book that Eric didn't like her for her, but instead of asking him about it or staying to find out what he meant by "that explains a lot." She buggers off with Quinn. I think Bill is far to wishy washy for Sookie. Eric seems to be the only one whose able to hold his own with her in various ways. I find Quinn to be almost exactly like Ranger from the Stephine Plum novels, right down to his use of "Babe" when talking to Sookie. The difference between the two is that I don't really like Quinn and I rather enjoy Ranger's character.

I too am sick of love triangles...or love quadrangles, or love octagons, whatever :P I haven't read any of these books but just thought I'd comment on that part of your review ;) p.s. I love Eric in the show, even if he is a dead guy.
