Surprised the average review is so high - I found it fairly mediocre. The people who you think will die do all die, plot twists which make very little sense happen just to stretch the story out needlessly, and since the book was written so early in the 11th Doctor's run, he and Amy don't really seem like themselves yet. Every now and then they have glimmers where they act in character, and every once in a while there's something almost surprising, but overall it was just too predictable for me. I can take a good old-fashioned space runaround every now and then, but it has to have a bit more thought put into it than this did.
