did not like it
bookshelves: sci-fi, poor-excuse-for-a-book

Poor excuse for a book. Poorer excuse for sci-fi. I liked the idea of a human not raised by humans, but to go turning him into the pastor of a sex-based commune...well, so many were exploring this 'idea' in the sixties and seventies, I'm not sure why this book was so exciting back then. Maybe just because of the sex.
Anyway, the characters were a little interesting if you put the sex aside. The story was an interesting development of cultural invasion. But all that and more are to be found in better books. Even in mediocre books.
Not a timless classic!
