A freebie I got for my Kindle and really enjoyed! I had read one other book by this author (The Pastor's Wife) and enjoyed it, and this one was just as good. It's about a Christian woman's writer, who writes about happy marriage. The book opens as she finds out her husband has cheated on her, is fathering a child with the other woman, and wants a divorce. Her mother has Alzheimers and she and her much younger, much different sister embark on a road trip down Route 66 (The Mother Road) from California to their childhood home in Illinois. Quirky and fun in places, thought provoking and very human in others. A good read :)
