I gave this book five stars because I was lucky enough to listen to the amazing cast (including one of my faves, Alan Alda) portray all the different characters on an audiobook. If I had to improvise character voices in my head as I was reading, it may have only garnered four stars. This isn't your typical zombie story. It is a collection of stories from people all over the world on how they handled an outbreak of the undead. In their words, we learn how it all started, how it was handled, and how it concluded. We get to hear first hand accounts that cover everything from families heading to Canada to military operations and decisions made by the UN which helped end the war. It was like watching a documentary and I loved every second of it! It you have the opportunity, listen to the audiobook. It was awesome!
