The premise is awesome isn't it? Will keep you posted, Chelsea! I loved that description, sanshow. :) Fingers crossed the book is good.
Adult historical fiction/fantasy, Silverius--I am usually pretty good at shelving books, so you can always check that in the review box up above, too.I like some of the writing, sanshow, but yeah...the way it's set up is a little odd. I'm not a fan of pages and pages of journal entries. (I think you might've accidentally rated this already!)
? I assumed you just didn't check the shelves, that's all. Not everyone seems to look at those. The book synopsis is rather cryptic, though.

You're right, I did! Must've accidentally tapped on it somewhere ^^
In the meantime I'll check up again on how you're getting on with this :)
No, no. I just thought you might be thinking I doubted you had it correct. Big misunderstanding on my part. :p The implicit love triangle is really what had me confused.
I would never associate this author to Sarah waters. Doesn't come close. This book was a huge let down for me.
I'm only about halfway through the book (bleh, life...), but I agree with you ladies--comparing this book to Sarah Waters is a stretch. It doesn't come close to that at all.Nafiza, library is a good idea for this one. I still like it, but I'm not loving it the way I'd hoped to.
have you guys ever heard of paperbackswap.com? it is amazing. I rarely ever pay for books. you can get books in perfect condition for free. and it is a great way to pass on books that you don't want anymore to others. if its something that you want to hear more about, let me know and I'll tell you more. it is seriously the best thing ever.
