really liked it

This is one of many books in a series by MC Beaton written about a lazy, but sharp-whitted Scottish policeman, Hamish McBeth. The novels are set in the Scottish Highlands in and around the ficticious town of Lochdubh. Hamish always solves the murder and things wrap up pretty clean in these novels. Hamish is pretty hilarious because he loves his dog, can't decide on a woman, poaches, hates promotion because it means more work, and is a huge moocher. Some of these qualities I find in myself, like mooching and loving my dog...that's why I like ole Hamish. Read with caution, however... Some of these novels mention sex (but don't get nasty).

I've also read these other Hamish McBeth books:

Death of a Gossip
Death of a Maid
Death of a Charming Man
Death of a Snob
Death of a Dentist
Death of a Bore
Death of a Celebrity
Death of a Scriptwriter
Death of a Dreamer
Death of an Outsider
Death of a Nag
