If only the movie had stuck to the comic book...

Shellie (Layers of Thought) Does it have GLBT elements? The artwork looks amazing...:)

Gloriavirtutisumbra *thinking* You know, I cant remember that aspect for sure, because Alan Moore runs amuck in his tales and there are so many different little things in them, which makes them so terribly wonderful. If you have ever read 'From Hell', which is horrifying and yet so well done, then you know. The movie of that one was actually quite close to the comic, to a forgivable point. I will have to pull the comics out and reread them soon. The movie of the 'League' got too weighed down with conspiracy theories, and Tom Sawyer wasn't in the comic which is a huge distraction. But oh all the little asides and all the characters from all the great novels of the time. Great fun!

Shellie (Layers of Thought) Yes - I heard From Hell has the lgbt element to it.

I have Watchmen on my shelf and started it but my husband snagged it and now it is in the tbr later pile since I have another pile of "have to be read" books above it.

I believe I will start with From Hell next....

I also refuse to watch a movie before I read the book. It just ruins it for me. So I have seen none of those for any of his books...

Thanks and have a wonderful weekend!
