For such a strong kick ass character that Andra started out to be in the start of the book. She came across very self conscious with little self esteem in by the end of the book.
Paul who needs Andra to stay alive just can't come out and tell her the score. That whole pride thing getting in the way. She was raised human if you don't tell her you will die in a few days why would she stay with you she has no idea what she symbolizes to him. I found his inability to just tell her the truth frustrating. He expected her to stay with him forever after 1 day of knowing him.
I also found that the storyline in general isn't really going anywhere and when it does it is very slow. We only learn bits and pieces of the plots the series will take. I would like it more if the story as a whole moved forward more. I am going to read the next one and see if it peeks my interest any better.
