Oooh I just love Sarah Addison Allen! This time she has an adult and a teenager both trying to live down the past and create a better future for themselves, their friends, and their family. Again the magic is perfect, the characters feel like beloved friends whose conversations I'm eavesdropping on constantly, the North Carolina town seems like a real place that I could easily call home. And I loved how the "girl" of the title could be either Julia or Emily (or even Emily's mother). Their different ways of chasing the moon added a dash of magic, both realistic and fantastic. I'm in love!
