A very funny memoir that tries diligently to focus on her real life and avoid talking much about show biz. I really admire that, as in my opinion one's ability to write about the everyday things is what proves whether or not they are a true writer. Dratch, of course, touches on her time at SNL as well as her year as a host of different characters on "30 Rock," but she gets these stories out of the way in the first 50 pages. After that, she makes it clear that she wants to avoid writing about celebrity, and instead of groaning "ugh! boring!" I found I really enjoyed the last 200 pages of her memoir. A lot. Worth checking out!
