it was amazing

Much though I love urban fantasy I wanted a change of genre, and was trawling through reviews on Amazon when I came across good reviews for this book. I loved the emotional resonances such as Emily locking her apartment door even though there probably wasn't a need to do so, just because it had been her beloved refuge, curled up in her window seat. I also loved the fact that adversity didn't suddenly turn her into a ninja overnight a la Hollywood, she coped as best she could. I found Thor very well characterised from echoes of his training in waiting for permission to eat, to the evidence of his traumas in his nightmare (sadly very true from my experience in helping rehabilitate Thor types who had suffered abuse). More please Mr Jones!
