It was actually better than I thought what it would be. It's a collection of essays by more than 20 women with different situation, different stages of their lives in motherhood. I learned something from everyone. It was interesting to see different perspective in mothering. But it was almost in all cases, their choices are somewhat affected by their own mothers. And the "mommy wars", I think, is more internal thing - every mother has her own struggles. It may have helped me when I was really struggling as a stay-at-home mom who had recently left full-time work.
