really liked it

Although I found MUCH of the French difficult and had to look up words on every other page (both foods and little French sayings of exclamations) I found this book fascinating. I like baking, but find cooking an absolutely boring chore, but Julia made me want to like it and even try to do it more! This book made me want to live in Europe, it made me want to see Norway and the French Riviera. It made me want to eat strange foods I have never eaten before and it made me want to go watch old episodes of The French Chef. I saw Julie and Julia, but will now watch it again, knowing ALL the back-story, and the real Julia after reading her memoir. It was worth reading, but took a while, it is not an easy or fluffy read!

Gochrisgo Such a great summer read. I think this year would be her 100th b-day.
