"I Suck At Girls" begins like a backstory to "Shit My Dad Says". After getting back together with his girlfriend and considering proposing, Halpern asked his father advice on whether or not to go ahead. Dad tells him to take a day out to just think about his relationships with women i.e. how he sucks at girls. After reading his open and honest recollections of his experiences from a six year old though high school, university and beyond, you have to agreed that indeed he does. Like "Shit My Dad Says", this book is filled with some of the same moments that made me laugh out loud and it is difficult to pinpoint a favourite section. The start of the book is still his dad, especially after Justin announces his intention to propose to his girlfriend - "You've been dating her for four years. It ain't like you found a parallel fucking universe." A quick and easy read that is guaranteed to bring on a grin.
