Two women of priviledge, two families, and a brutal murder on Martha's vineyard comprise the basics of this amazing novel; but there is so much more. The secrets and desires of the characters are revealed, as are the events of 20 yrs., from the individual perspectives of the characters. It is truly a superb study of human emotions and objectives as the story races to its surprising conclusion. Kudos to Klaussmann on her debut novel.
