A very good friend of mine gave me this book for my birthday. She and I have a very spiritual relationship and talk about God, so it was fitting that she gave me the book. She also teaches college Journalism so I expect a high level of literature when she recommends a book, With that said, I must admit the first chapter disappointed me so much that I almost stopped reading. Ella was so flat, and the writing was incredibly sophomoric. I kept reading and loved the writing and story of Rumi and Tabriz.
I also felt that this was not a book that I could recommend to everyone only those who embrace the world view of LOVE as the connecting force in the world.
