This book is scary. It is also beautiful. I couldn't put it down and I couldn't stop thinking about it. I'd been told about its violence, and so I put off reading it. It is a hard book to read, but one that is so necessary. Not only is it gripping but it exposes humanity for both its potential for good and evil.
The book initiated many discussions with my friends/family of "could/would this kind of desolation really occur?" After seeing the Oprah's show today on internet predators, I see that it is already happening. This makes this book even more necessary.
