Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides
Really fantastic read. I was a little iffy about the whole title and idea of a hermaphrodite protagonist, but Eugenides spins a beautiful tale of family and love and identity. You do have to be open-minded to actually get into this book; if you are leary of boundaries of identity and self then it will be very strange and raw. I liked the actual story itself and the narrator is really, really engaging!! Good read!
