really liked it
bookshelves: to-read

MFK Fisher is a blast from the past. The Julia Child of food writing (an influence of Ruth Reichl, I think), Fisher writes about the pleasures of eating oysters with the prose and ease of Twain. She's got a fantastic down-to-earth and humble quality that grounds her writing very firmly in the everyday experience of simply enjoying food.
